It is vital to include a 0.12-inch bleed on all sides of your pages to ensure that images and background colors reach the very edge of the paper after trimming. For a professional catalog, we typically recommend an 80 lb silk or gloss text for the inner pages combined with a heavy card cover. If your page count is higher than our maximum for booklet printing, we recommend paperback book printing instead.
- Booklet artwork should be set-up as single pages, not spreads.
- Page count must be a multiple of 4 (e.g. 8, 16, 24, 40 etc.). If not, blanks will be added.
- Minimum page count is 5 (+3 blanks = 8 pages)
- Square back and/or landscape booklets are not available for collection orders.
- If you order card covers in colour, pages 1 and 2 and the last 2 pages of your file will be printed on card and in colour.
By default, page 1 will be your front cover and the last page will be your back cover.

Saddle-stitched booklets (also known as stapled booklets) are lightweight documents, ideal for brochures, catalogues, zines, and more. The pages are printed in spreads, folded over, and joined with two staples along the spine. We also offer a square-back binding service.
What is a square-back spine?
A square-back spine is a squared-off, flatter spine. It gives the booklet the appearance of a thin paperback book, with a flat (not curved) spine. Square-back binding is available for booklets with 20+ pages and a card cover.
A printed booklet serves a variety of uses, from marketing materials to informational pamphlets, and can be enhanced with laminated covers for added durability and appearance.
