As part of a new series of customer interviews, today we’re joined by Owen Guerin.<\/p>\n

His unusual paper creations caught our eye on Instagram, so we decided to find out more…<\/p>\n

Tell us about yourself…<\/h3>\n

I’m an actor, gamer and builder. My career is in Acting, which I love. Every day is a different day with some wonderful opportunities. Console gaming is also a big hobby of mine, getting stuck into a good game, being an active participant to the story and watching events unfold. And building, turning something as simple as a piece of paper (or two) into a new trophy for the Man Cave!<\/p>\n

What have you printed with us in the past?<\/h3>\n

With your glorious help, I’ve built a 5ft Optimus Prime. A Japanese creation called Howls Moving Castle and my current build is a 3ft Hulkbuster also with moving parts…<\/p>\n

So far! Approx 800 A3 colour 250gsm pages in all I think.<\/p>\n

Impressive! When did you start this hobby?<\/h3>\n

I’ve always enjoyed building things. There’s a company that sell little metal sheets that you bend and fold into creations. Being a fan of origami too I thought I’d research ‘papercraft’ as that seemed to blend the two together quite nicely. So 2016 was the year our paths met.<\/p>\n

What has been your favourite build project to date?<\/h3>\n

Honestly I love them all for their many different reasons but I think Prime holds the top spot. He is were the joy all began. There’s a lot of detail to him too.<\/p>\n

What are your build plans for the year ahead?<\/h3>\n

With Hulkbuster recently finished I’m already thinking of the next build. I recently ordered a papercraft Storm Trooper from Doxzoo for a friend’s birthday which he is excited about, his first papercraft.<\/p>\n

There’s one idea I’ve found… But it’s 14ft tall I think… Very big… Green and you wouldn’t want to make him angry!<\/p>\n
